by mahesh waran on May 17, 2010 11:30 AM

I don't understand why Indian Hockey team is performing badly in World cups , they have beaten Australia in this tournament where as they lost to Australia very badly in the world cup.Why is it so ? No Matter, whatever be the reason they played consistently in this tournament to be adjudged the winners:)

What a dull ending to a final. They should have played the game the next day. One day allowance should have been kept since its the final.

every half hour on rediff, so it is top of the charts for a long time. India needs to savour this. It's a great feather in the cap in the build up to the commonwealth games and other competitions.

You guys deserve the limelight
by munish joshi on May 17, 2010 03:21 AM  | Hide replies

I salute Indian hockey team for bringing pride to the nation. I wonder why a failed cricket team enjoys more limelight than a successful hockey team. I think its time that Indian hockey gets its dues.

and top of that the reason why does media gives more importance to a commonweath game like Cricket than world sport -Hockey is only bcoz our people follow it foolishly.

We dont care a damn if India is performing well or poorly in world sports and Olympic Games. Secondly there is no sports culture in India. Everyone here is running after becoming a Engineer, doctor or MBA .

...following the disasterous World Cup that was overshadowed by Hockey Federation elections, politics and interference of WC coach. Good show.
