what a achievement and that also in all the three format of the Game!! To be at top and holding that position for three years is simply mind blowing !!
the ordeal you underwent due to volcano ash, the timely help fom lufthansa people and the gteat support from Mrs A nand...you are destined to greater glory
My hearty Congratulations to the Grand Master of them all...Vishy
I would say he has just reached his prime and now is the true battle to stay on top consistently for years till he passes the batton, hopefully to another Indian
I dont know about others, but when I see humble black-n-white portraits of great souls like Gandhi, Einstein, Tagore, SC Bose and the likes the picture makes me pause and think and gives me goose bumps just running thru the events in their life and their deeds....
I wish Vishy all the best and all the energy to reach the greatest heights and be the eternal inspiration for generations to come
I know most would like to talk about cricketers, and with due respect to the achievements of Sachin and the likes, here are some facts in favour of my argument. Most people do not know that there are 150 odd registered nations with FIDE competing in Chess, out of which 60 have at least one GM!! There ar 8 million registered players (does not include players like you and me mind it)! Though the highly cerebral nature of the game might be the reason average people (common man) give this sport a miss, the numbers are an indication of intelligent people taking it seriously. His achievement of winning 4 times, as the only one in all 3 different formats at that level, shaming our cricket team where all the money, love and adulation is showered in our country definitely makes him a strong candidate for the All Time Greatest Sportsperson India has ever had!!
i am happy for all games played in our country other than cricket .i am delighted and have prayers that you keep the title for another 20 years.a normal Indian is supposed to retire at the age of 60.keep the indian flag high
