Pakistan's national sports are 'Terrorism' and 'Warmongering'. They excel in that!!!
It was good news for indian hockey. cricket might be popular but hockey is indian game.Our rich hockey heritage saved our blushes in other sports in during the non medal years.

Cricket became popular in the last 20 years or so, while hockey dates back to years..yet we never dominated world hockey nor could inspire youngsters, while blame cricket..its hockey that missed opportunity
Even if one's own mother is having an heart attack, Indians stay glued to cricket! Cant even imagine anyone appreciating any other game... not to mention that today, they are getting pulverized by the OZs :D
