He is shaping the footbal future of the nation,we have to retain him even if he wants one million dollar per year..that is nothing..Just rs.4.4 crores...
If Football transforms in the next 5 years,it can become a money spinning machine like cricket,football officials should have some foresight.. If the coach leaves,he can get offers from many countries,but India cannot get such a good coach.. So,football officials,you beg or borrow or steal,please retain Houghton at any cost...
Looks like noone but Bhutia is bothered about India's Football prospects...And Asia Cup- you would find more spectators and interest in a Cricket match in any street corner

lol trying saying this to a person from bengal, kerala, goa etc trying saying anything against football they will kick you be careful they love cricket but they worship these games. I like cricket but
Indias ranking is around 150 since 4-5 years. And we have a foreigner who is asking for more. If it was an Indian he would already be sacked. We saw this in IPL too, where NSD and sachin played in IPL finals, while overrated aussies like warne,gilchrist were captains and were flops totally. Its time we show respect to our indian heros

india ranking is 130 arouind now..we have won nehru cup twice and AFC cup under him hence qualified for asian games...
don't compare that lazy game cricket with football.....

India's Economy & Football Rating are same? When smaller African countries are qualifying for World Cup, why India is struggling to qualify? Indians should concentrate on Football now.
