The name Usain (other that the fact it is not of direct Arabic origin, it only sounds similar to Arab names such as Hussein) was chosen by his Aunt Betsy Davis who incidentally has no recollection of what the name means. His nickname growing up was a Hindi name 'Vijay', Bolt is neither Hindu.
As far as I am aware he is from a Christian background.

I had read a report some 20 plus years or so back, when the world record was still in the 9.8x's, that Human body can at the most reach a max of 9.52 - so I believe this gentle giant might very well turn out to be the one to do it.
