AIBA are going to convert to professional boxing themselves...there are talks of holding a tournament on the lines of conferences and teams from across the world including 5 conferences from the USA one from india , japan , kazakhstan in asia; UK russia from europe and australia in the asia pacific region...u might imagine this to be much like IPL where you can hire players for your team with a limitation to the number of foreign recruits ..each conference will consist of 15 boxers (still being revised) . THe rules will be exclusively devised to make the game more competitive...you will get to know about the shape of such a tournament soon...this will make the boxers career more wholly focussed on boxing unlike the yesteryear boxers who used to hold a job to support their boxing pursuit .
