Yes, Sandeep Singh was a complete flop in this tounmanent. He was pathetic in converting penalty corners and defense line as well.Prabhjot, Chandi, Deepak Thakur wasted golden chances many times. Hope Jose Brasa will take care of changes that are required for Asian games 6 months from now, and for Commonwealth games this year.
Also, I never saw such poor umpiring which went against India at crucial times. Accepting a referral after 6 minutes was shock of the tournament.

Not sure about others but Sehwag and Bhajji for sure. Sehwag as drag flicker and Bhajji due PUNJABI by nature. Dhoni could do goal keeping but he would have to understand a point that keepers in a hockey match stand ahead of goal not behind it.

Not even one of these cricketers will last even 10 minutes in an international hockey match...WTF are you talking? This shows the ignorance of people who never played hockey about this sport..most Indians think on similar lines!
Hockey players and fans often moan and groan about the game not receiving enough attention in the country. But this kind of dismal performance, do they have any right to complain about the dwindling interest in the game in India?
We may not be world champs in cricket but our cricket team is a far better performer compared to the hockey team, which, for the last 2 decades (at least) has refused to come out of the dump! What is sad is that the team could not even put up a decent fight in the wc event and lost all the crucial matches tamely. The cricket team has had its bad times but has not been at the bottom for a continuous period of over 20 years as Indian hockey is!

the media,the government and people like you have contributed for the systematic decline of hockey.sure you would have played cricket but you wudnt have seen a hockey game i your life.please provide the support like cricket and see the result,you want india to win without any aid,you dont sanction the team for participation in tournaments then how can india win? you guys always want india to win. this happens in our foriegn policy too and thats why you get screwd wherever you go.hockey does not hav wagons of currency like cricket,why dont you send your kids to play hockey.hockey gave many medals and cupps to this nation and to idiots like you what has the nation given back to the hockey players? playing surfaces? latest equipment? jobs? tournaments? what have you given hockey?hockey players are better than cricketers anyway.

Dear Cricket lover, Indian hockey team won two 4 nations tournments last year and runners up in 2.
What your cricket team has done in major tournaments? They are first round exiters in all major tournaments. If you want, I can give you the list of those tournaments.
Your cricket team is a paper tiger and performs in bi-lateral matches on flat pitches at home. In the last 2 years they have played almost all matches in India or Indian subcontinent and their bi-lateral matches are heavily rigged with fi1thy money flowing from the Consumer companies selling junk to Indians.

You can play hockey with Pakisthan, no problem. You can do bi-lateral trade with them, no problem. Your directors can ask their singers to sing in movies, these director are not "Pakisthanis". But when a man (who has already invested his money for Pakisthani players in his IPL team) shows HIS opinion on the IPL ban, all the hell breaks loose. He is a "pakisthani" the reasons are obvious!! Is a person not enititled to his freedom on thought? I know there will be a barrage of hate mails, many will call me a "porki", ask me to go back to "porkisthan", etc. Let me tell, I am a patriotic Indian like you too. Its just that this personal attach on SRK (calling him a Pakisthani for his personal remarks) are really a bit too much, I feel. When will we learn to "agree to disagree"?
lack of funds hurts Indian hockey... provide best coaching techniques, best gears (includes everything from working out to field) groom more players... recognize at national level... etc...

guys were busy in strikes!!! not on the ground but in the dressing room (remember they strike for meagre funds allocated for the hockey)

they didn't stand in any match during this world cup, they lost the matches with big margins.
Indian players need a attitude mentor for some time. If you observe the recent matches you find them not passing the ball immediately. They love playing single handed till they end up to the other side only to hand over the ball to the opponent. Indians should be taught that this is TEAM GAME. By passing fast you not only conserve energy but can penetrate the defence at lightening PACE. Hope Coach Brasa is listening.........

Short passes are thing of past now. They don't even work against teams like South Africa.
Its high time Indian team adapts to modern hockey to beat its rivals. Their current stick work may win hearts, but now matches.
