The present team is really raw but need brains, coordination, cunning, speed, strategy, set pieces and proper coaching. Joe Brasa is good but players should get the experience.

Defence was lacking and this is very important aspect which should be looked into. Defence must be very strong.

Once a while, we should import players from abroad, get them to enjoy the high life of India and then wait for their misdeeds to give us a hybrid world class team! This team of mixed breed can play world over and also migrate wherever they want. The current crop of Sardars and South Indians are a blot on the game!
Its easy to criticise players from outside. I am not a hockey fan but the way things are going in the Indian Hockey federation, its really bad for the players. They dont have support, world class training facilities. You can see why India outclassed Pak because both countries are similar in their support to Hockey(India may have the upper hand here) whereas countries like Australia, South Africa are much more supportive, take good care of their players and provide them with excellent training. Its obvious that "chak de" happens only in movies and we should not except miracles when the fundamentals themselves are not solid.
