Govt has no vision to develop any sports in the country.Sports like tennis has to be developed from the grass root level and it should make the local copration bodies to get involved in developing sporting activities.
The part of the blame should also go to parents as they dont have the enthusisim for any sports activity.

Once Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi, call it a day, it will be end of India's tennis show in any international level, will become just a ordinary tennis playing nation, we have to Blame the Tennis federation, with mostly political minds running the show, only money is made in their coffins no improvement is done, with any incentives to youngsters, all have to come on their own, be it Paes/Bhupathi, or Sania Mirza all came up on their own or their own families support, THIS HAPPENS ONLY IN INDIA, the politicians will put all the money allotted to their families welfare fund and no accountability is given, people who do not know what is tennis will run the show, same thing will go in the case of hockey, people like Mr. Gill have destroyed hockey, fighting terrorist and developing a sports is two different thing which the govt. of the day should have realized, we have very talented former hockey players who know what is best, they should be brought in and told to run the show, HOPE%

Sports in India is only because of some individual did outstanding effort himself to success. Bindra, Vijendra, Amritraj, Paes were never part of our sport system.

Cricket prospered simply because it is more entertainment and less sport.

Truth is that India has zero sport culture. Half of Indians life is spent in thinking "What to do?", half in "What did I do?". & suddenly it's time to leave.....
