I'm in dubai and after an india spain match, i was expecting it in the fm channel updates in 89.1, but to my agony, they took efforts in explaining how zimbabwe beat west indies, thats ridiculous. These people themselves dont know how to make a sports news. Indian hockey will only comeback if more international series are played in india. Make a clause for international sponsors that if u need cricket sponsorship, you have to also take a sponsorship of any other sport in the country.

It was Dubai, so I may not complain.

But in India, the channel SET-Max is showing Australia-NZ matches live. I really do not know who is interested in these matches. But it is only love for cricket.

Even in 60s and 70s when Indian cricket team used to get whitewashed in mst of the series, and hockey team were Olympic and world champs, cricket was much more popular in India.

The fact is that Indian public likes only one game ie cricket. Winning or losing does not matter.

Indian Hockey not treated well
by Sukhwinder Singh on Mar 07, 2010 02:24 AM  | Hide replies

Look at what treatment Rediff is giving to Indian Hockey.

The England-India match report is NOT there in sports section. The link is there on hockey world cup page but that too is broken.

Not sure if these links below in Sports section are more important than India - England match report.

• Germany and the Netherlands in a battle of titans
• WC Hockey: Australia edge past Spain
• Gilly, MSD are similar captains: Rohit Sharma
• China did it for Ronaldo's sake
• MCC not bidding for IPL team

people support winning teams..not loser teams.

fix hockey administration and let them perform first. public will automatically follow.

Tell me where cricket team is winning my friend? Winning bi-lateral series heavily manipulating it is not success.

The fact is that Indian cricket team is a bigger DUD as it loses in first round of all major tourmanents.
