Rather ban Cricket for the sake of Hockey, Football and many other soprt events.
Entire talent and money is cornered by cricket and nothing is left for other sports

To ban cricket is foolish...The people in other sports must think on how to develop their sport par with the modern standards than to blame cricket..Hockey must try to match their game with the international standards...Win a few matches...Then sponsors and money will eventually come....

Blaming cricket is foolish..Hockey must bring its standard to the existing international standard and win a few games..Then sponsorship and money will also come to hockey

Mr Bidyut, I am a greater patriot than U but I don't see any chance at all of our team reaching the semis.Accept the sad fact.Indian hockey was neglected for over 40 yrs due to the Dundulkars and it will take atleast 10 more yrs to regain its old fame.

A clean up will help
by venkatapaty swami on Mar 05, 2010 04:16 PM  | Hide replies

I hope this team loses and loses big in all the upcoming matches..What we need now is a clean up. These players have got too political and they can never be trusted to play to their hearts' content ever again when they are wearing India colours...Its time for a shuddikaran...They should lose all their matches and we should bring in a new crop of players who can believe in themselves...not these losers who cannot run the 100 yard pitch without huffing and puffing....We need to weed these players out..thats a simple solution.

Revival of Hockey
by Hirendra Chatterjee on Mar 05, 2010 04:14 PM

Hockey can become popular again. But the Indian team must perform. One success against Pakistan had roused the interest of the entire nation. Success must be repeated again and again. There is no reason why Hockey cannot be restored to its pristine glory. The whole country is with the team. We need a number of good, convincing wins. The Indian team should accept the challenge and come up triumphant.
