FIH IS SLAVE OF WESTERN COUNTRIES, THEY NEVER WANTED ASIAN TEAM ON TOP, SINCE THEY IMPOSED RULE OF ASTRO-TURF. INFACT ASTRO-TURF rule is the biggest partiality with Asian Team
Why india has changed his goal keeper in the match against Australia? we could see that how D'souza performed. it is his habit to leave goal post and run over the ball on D-Line, that is the biggest minus point of D'souza, why coach or team management not teaching him? and why he himself could not realize that his technique is wrong?
As the hockey worldcup held in india, it is glad to know that media and people started taking interest in hockey. and due to that we came to know how indian team play, and we also came to know that how FIH behavior with Asian Team. we also came to know that there is lack of co-ordination with team-management and players.
The FIH president who is an Australian unnecessarily banned Shivendra so that it becomes easy for Aussies to win vs India.
It was a racist move. In hockey such incidents are very common. Even Shivendra was hit in the leg by the Paki player's hockey stick but that player was set free.
It is Australia which is cheap filthy mentality nation which can't accept defeat.
shame on people like Kalmadi who did nothing in protest.
Although I am not expert but my submission is that intention of Shivendra was not bad. Since It was against Pakistan our team management could not go for appael. any way after austrelia match we indian should realise that we are far behind and can not even dream for word cup

"Since It was against Pakistan our team management could not go for appael." Mind your words Mr. Balbir India definitely appealed against this decision and even paid 600 euro fees for it and after that from 3 match suspension it has been reduced to 2 match suspension.

Agreed. but that rule is also to be applied on Non-asian player. if you would have seen the first 3 days matched, you could see that.

Lift Stick above waist is foul, and at the most, refree can show green/yellow card to the player, but in the history of hockey, nobody was banned for 3 matches, it was purely partiality with Asian team/Player, No EUs/Aus player would have banned in such situation

See in hockey there is no say for India or Pak. It is ruled by these biased countries. They changed the rules to suit. They know that India is #1 in cricket, they might be scared they will be #1 in hockey.

there should be a third umpire like in cricket to view slow motion pictures and to see if the infringement was done deliberately or was just in the heat of the movement part of play.replays clearly shaw that shivendra was trying to go near the ball to strike it and it was just by chance that a player was hit.anyway biased umpiring in any sport should be put down firmly and biased rules to favour certain style of play.

There is one third (video) umpire, actually. Unfortunately, "stick above the waist" is a threatening gesture, whatever be the intention of the players. The umpires did not call this particular foul; it was the panel of FIH which views the video of every match. I think Sivendra was unfortunate.
