the host country canada landed up being first, with 14 golds. germany & usa were respectively 2nd & 3rd. china ended up seventh with 5g, 2s & 4b.it is not understood how a semi-barbaric(no democracy)country do so well in winter games, & land up higher than russia,france,sweden,australia&britain, all of whom have good infrastructure for winter games. this is the 3rd time that china has participated in winter games. india with two world class ski resorts at auli & gulmarg, failed to even qualify for even one race.india had sent only one participant but in the march past during the opening ceremony there were 10 members in the indian contingent. most probably the president &secretary of indian skiing association along with their family members went to vancouver at the tax payers money.
The level of the skaters and skiers was way superior to prev times. In women's figure scating there was flawless performance from all the first 4. Asians have started to dominate winter olympics. Free style skiing was unbeleivable. To top it all exciting ice hockey finals bet US and Canada.
i live in vancouver but i dont care of winter olympics .in fact i just came to know that anything like winter Olympics existed just year ago.i dont care of ice hockey because i m an indian and i m waiting for ipl

I feel sorry for you. Winter olympics have existed for more than 2 decades. How can you not like skiing, MOghuls and free style?

I will be happy if they do better in Summer olympics. You can not blame Indians if they are not in winter olympics. Those games are never played in Indi abecausewe have no ice or snow.

We have snow and Ice in Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir
