It is heartening to see India making it 4-1 against arch rivals Pakistan in the opening match of the WC. Remember, Indian Hockey was in disarray (like the Pakistan cricket team) in the last couple of months. To get back as a unit and making the great beginning deserves appreciation. I agree, it is not the cup winning victory. If the players are motivated by this reward and they play well in each and every match, who knows, other corporates also may chip in to reward them. This in turn, should motivate them players to give their best in every match and they come out with flying colors.
Win against Pakistan does not mean that we have won the world cup.We want india to win the cup ,announcing prizes for beating Pakistan will give false sense of elation which may affect the future games .Treat Pak just as another team ,as first hurdle but resolvev to cross more hurdles rather than fall into the the trap of politicians like Kalmadi who has to nothing to boast of .

This is very important because their captain have given a statement that they dont want to win the world cup they just want to beat India.
Indian hockey federation and sahara india pariwar - most appreciated for your effort to reward our hockey players. They deserve this reward. The team should be rewarded like this in future games and tournaments based on there good performance. I am sure this kind of appreciations would certianly encourage the players and strive to prove better in coming games.
Other corporates, please extent your hands to sponsor this games (so called national game of india). Indian corporates are like sheeps and goats, if one runs behind cricket, then all would follow the same. This is high time to think and act.
The corporates have made these games and sport also as a business where can earn profit. Please concentrate on your primary business to earn profit and sponsors to support our sporting teams as a national interest.

1 lakh is peanuts. ok this was our first match but i think government or any corporate house should give them huge amount if they win world cup so it can motivate them
