Oh we had a long EPL season etc etc. Face it club soccer is overrated and mediocre players can excel in it. In fact mediocre players excel at all club level sports and international competition seperates the men from the boys.

yes rooney is overated/hyped player.. Only perform amongst boys at club level.....International level is very tough and none of eglish guys perform at international level competition...Kloase and Poloski always perfrom at international level and do not play overhyped EPL and spanish leagues.
...than it was since the EPL is the most popular league in the world. that does not make the quality of the bundesliga inferior. in fact, the germans always play solid, mentally strong football
As India cricket fans we can understand and empathise with the english football fans as we are almost sailing in the same boat.Like England, India cricket team's performance have also been pathetic in recent ICC tournaments till this Asia cup win.But where do english F/fans go from here ? It is a reality that the english team is playing awful football and there is no chance of any early revival inspite of EPL and the other much hyped english professional clubs. It seems other countries have benefitted more comparatively from EPL etc. the same IPL way. However unlike the Indian cricket team the standard of english f/team appears to be below par and they would have to completely revamp the team which may take 5-10 yrs in making any impression in the world stage.
Indian coach also give same reason for poor showing by Indian cricketers in major tournament.BCCI & English Football have common cause"Money ahead of national duty"

game is a game. some ppl feel pride in playing for country some for money. both are ok. u cant blame players who play for money. just like u do job for money they play for money. nothing wrong in that. board chose only best players. if those playing for country are better players, they will be chosen. why blame players. everyone is after money, they are doing no crime. better than corrupt ppl.

Good thing I observed that their cricket team is performing well day by day, and you can see on 3rd ODI match b/w Aus and Eng (series decider) was played in Manchester, was packed house the ve thing is same time Eng soccer match was going on in SA. Which is a ve sign for cricket in England.

Once England Football borad allows Foreign Players to play for England then their soccer team will perform just like English Cricket Team..But unfortunately English Soccer Players=Indian Cricketers (English Soccer players only performs in EPL while Indian Cricketers only perform in IPL)...
