FIFA in 2010 BC
by sunder iyer on Jun 28, 2010 11:43 PM

FIFAs refusal to embrace modern tech clearly shows its intention of leaving everything to the field referees and may be who knows at the instance of the underword betting gang to acheive a particular results.FIFA should not be allowed to have its own run and deserved to sacked for incompetence and not allowing justice to prevail

Why can't they digest that they have been banged by Germans
by SHANE on Jun 28, 2010 08:40 PM  | Hide replies

I keep hearing about disallowed goal since Saturday, but that is true crybaby brits behavior when they can't digest the fact that they have been trashed, banged, screwed like third grade (which it is indeed) team by Germans. Only for that reason british media hypes that incident and in the mean time they forget to applauds Germans who played like a true champions. Digest it whiny brits that you are not good enough team to reach even in 2nd round, it is coz of some good fortune you were in 2nd round. US have 2 legal goals disallowed in two consecutive matches, but we never behave like crybabies. So, better digest it and move ahead. There are at least 10 better team ahead of you and you will never win world cup, period. England team was, is and will be all-time overrated team of football history.

I agree with that , but if the allowed the second goal it the course of match would have changed. England would not need 9 people in germany box if the goal was allowed . Goal 3 and 4 were soft goals on counter attack. If there were enough defenders it would have never happened

The Germans
by Atanu Chatterjee on Jun 28, 2010 06:21 PM  | Hide replies

Since the klinsmann era(2004), The germans are playing a good mix of european pace, accuracy and latin american attack, innovation. And along with that they are extremely organised with never say die attitude as they always have been and united as a team. They would never go for individual glory unlike some of the other players often do.

Germany-Argentina is going to be an absorbing match. I would bet for Germany to win on 3rd july. May be we are going to see Germany-Nederlands final?

England got World Cup in 1966 through such a disputed goal!
by Kalarab Ray on Jun 28, 2010 06:20 PM  | Hide replies

In 1966 final, England got a crucial goal (from Peter Hurst) when the referee allowed it even though the ball did not cross the German goal-line.

This time, they are at the receiving end of such a dubious decision.

But overall, England has played poorly in this FIFA WC-2010 hence deserve to go out (like Italy and France).

the ball that was...
by selvakumar on Jun 28, 2010 06:13 PM

yes the ball played the spoilsport by coming out fast before the refere could notice.

if that was the case on ground, here in this picture, even a replay will not identify the BALLS. bcos THEY are not there in the 1st place. is THIS ground looking FLAT?
