ppl never understand that football is a fast paced game & a replay of such sort will only make the game slow as ever. it is all diff with ckt & tennis. football game shud flow & a interruption of such sort is not gud for sports
what is FIFA president Sepp Blatter talking about when he says human element? He is covering up all mistaken with a nice euphemism called human element. He should be fired

Why do these technophobes think the human element is out with the introduction of video analysis. Have the infrared cameras and video replays taken out the human element in tennis or cricket?
In fact, more people have started walking in cricket (after being out) than ever because they know they would be caught on the big screen lying.
FIFA is hypocritical when it says it does not want to rely on video cameras for any decision-making. Have they forgotten that the referee had NOT EVEN SEEN the Zidane headbutt against Matterazzi in last 2006, until the video cameras finally showed the replays.
It was only then that the referee decided to red card Zidane. So, the video-based decision-making is already there along with the human element.

LBW decisions are part-subjective, quite like offsides in football. No one is asking video technology for offsides. But the goal line technology is something very basic.

permitting the "Carlos Tevez's opening goal from a clear offside position" demoralises the opposing team. technology should be used to correct the mistakes.
i did not hear an argument against 'video tech' other than lame 'retain human element'.. have video tech - take out the stress on referees on the field like in cricket (for runout)..
BALLS BLOODY SAPP BLATTER,WHY CANT YOU ADMIT THE MISTAKES COMMITED BY YOUR USELESS UMPIRES.WHY DONT YOU USE THE AVAILABLE TECHNOLOGY MR BLATTER,DONT LEAVE IN FOOLS PARADIZE.IF YOU CANNOT CHANGE WITH THE TIME THEN BETTER YOU VACATE YOUR CHAIR.
Do the mistake. But don't it to the world. This is what FIFA is telling the world. I thought FIFA was good in using technology than ICC. ICC is far better. Dear FIFA, why do you ask your players to use shoes, rather they can play with their naked legs to preserve the HUMAN element
What's the use of retaining human element while committing the same blunders again and again. my shoes to both FIFA and UEFA for not adopting video technology. They may adopt when few of the referees are going to be killed on the streets for their intentional or unintentional mistakes..it will happen soon
