According to my calculation these four countries will reach semis... coincidently they are all latin american
Football is a 100 % team effort. However in Cricket, one can shine even when the team fails to win. We are SELFISH. So. We will never be good at football.

good idea, India has a lot talented young players like sunil chetri.. Only they need encouragement and I am sure India will produce some stars in football too..
Most boring sport in the world. I tried watching a few games but turned it off 20 minutes into the first half. It's just two teams trying to get the ball across to the other goal, only to hit it out. Yes, there may be one or two goals in the entire 90 min. duration but nothing else. But what's really annoying is the refereeing and fouls. Players trip over themselves and claim foul while others deliberately kick others. Sometimes the referee gives yellow card and sometimes he doesnt. It doesnt seem like a balanced, well fought game to me. It's popular only because it's cheap. You just need a ball and you are good to go. Hence, its popularity around the world in South America, Africa unlike cricket, which is a much more intelligent, strategy based and a thrilling sport.

This is a typical response of a dumb cricket fan!. cricket fans are high on opium and cannot follow anything more than one player at a time. Very few people in India appreciate team sports like football. hockey or basket ball etc. Very much like in life , most Indians appreciate selfish individual objectives. Whether it is on field or on the road when every motorist or two wheeler wants to be ahead of the other whatever be the traffic requirement. It is the same at work, most individuals try to claim credits by hiding information from colleagues even if it means that the organisation suffers.

mr veejay do you really think football is a game of morons..have you ever tried to play it..if the game is so easy how come the number of goals are just a fraction ..? One advise. do not criticize the game you don't understand..foot ball needs skill, stamina, patience, understanding above all passion, understand...and finally football players are paid highest in the world, which makes the richest sports..

cricket is popular in india as u can play even in small gali - while football u need space
majority of world countries watch football - no way can compare its popularity with cricket
in cricket world cup all cricket nations get to play - while in football almost half the nations are out of world cup only the best get to play
