saina is in the semi-finals of the indonesian open, by beating a russian opponent (who was ranked 4 for the event) in the QF.it is seen that no high ranking chinese,koreans,japanese and indonesian players are participating in this tournament.similarly the ranked players skipped the singapore open too.sania's real test will be the asian games in november 2010 in china, where all the stalwarts will be participating.
Possibly "LUCK FACTOR" which is driving Saina to very High positions with consistancy. Actually Game wise she is 'Average'. But recent performance shows She is in her best possible Days of Badminton career. Except Sachin ,NO INDIAN has shown this type of Consistancy( Not Even Sania Malik). With Solid LUCK on her Side, it will NOT be surprising IF she reaches No 1 in World with-in 5-7 weeks.

Stupid Shakil, do u think a sportsman can last long in a game with just Luck? Idiot, luck is just 1% of the whole thing. U need 99% talent, hard work and determination to make it to the top. And Saina Nehwal has it all, this is what makes her such a great champ In a field that is dominated by the remarkable Chinese and Indonesians, she has done very well for herself. Becoming World No 3 is no mean feat, it is unbelievable. As for Sania Malik she is only a glamour doll whose beauty and looks made it in her brief spell at somewhat top. Game wise she is below average, not even 1/10th of Saina Nehwal.

They are already taken away from her, notice Britannia was the first to do that and then many did. She was earlier given more for her seductive beauty and looks rather for her game. Now that both are done with, sponsors will run to Saina Nehwal who deserves every bit of it, a true champ who has done India proud

Its so hearting to see that a certain brand of people in India have started accepting other sports than Cricket and started to appreciate other sports people, Its so unfair for noncricketers as they never deserve the recognition even if they excel in their sport at international level. Thats changing now and people have started to appreciate other sports too. Keep it up Indians , thats the way to go. Nothing against cricket , I love it too. But its time we respect every sport and sports person.
