Sachin - god of cricket. Maradona - god of football. Who else?
Why does people have to become god in india? dont the indians have enough god? I am sick of hearing sachin is the god of cricket, maradona is the god of football. why cant the indians appreciate them as great players?
A lot of great have graced the great game of Football, but no body entertained the masses like MARADONA. Truly the God of Football. Hope this time he is able to inspire the Argentines to win one more World Cup.
Maradona was very good, but certainly not in the class of zidane when it came to ball control, or heading ability.zidane was a true playmaker who delivered such accurate thorughballs,and could control or even dance with the ball stuck to his feet.The roger federer or vvs laxman of football.The most elegant player ever.

Agreed that Zidane was good, very good, but not in the same class as Maradona who was simply the best player ever who did wonders with the ball at his feet. He made it talk and do whatever he wanted it to. He had the ability to caress it along and bemuse the opponents. When he played the game was on a another level and that is what made him something else.

LOL! A man who inspired france to victory in 1998 final and 2000 euro, and came out of retirement to singlehandedly take them to 2006 final, and that guy is way below?? Now who is the novice here..I am still laughing? U must be one of those mallu types who cant see beyond arentian and brazil and think its cool to wear yellow. Dont forget the likes of Zidane,henry,beckenbaur,eusebio,cryuff,bergkamp who were as good as or better than maradona. One great world cup in 1986 dosent make someone GOD.

in 1986, takloo, if you were 10 or 12 years (or more, may be)old and if you have witnessed maradona magic then, thank god for taking birth in this earth to see his magic! start worshipping the god of football without any delay!
