poor reporting

/When the Group D match ended, Slovenia had qualified by goal difference/

When the other match is still on, how come "Slovenia had qualified"?

/Against Slovenia, on a free-quick shot by Altidore, Donavan managed to pass to Edu who sent the ball behind the line. The goal was refused by the Malian referee. Why? Nobody knows/

Donovan is a US footballer and he scored a last minute goal against Algeria

Where is the answer?

I thought this more-On Claude Arpi would provide the reasons for his perceived poor refereeing. As usual he has written crap that doesn't add any value to the readers. He should jump and drown into some drainage in France rather than writing on rediff.

No Sir, cricket is an extremely fascinating game full of thrills, spliils.Unfortunately the bastardised versions ( onedayers and T20) have taken over the fan's attention especially in 3rd world countries like ours, Srilanka and Pakistan. Moreover, in these countries, the nuances of the game is not well understood especially test cricket. And then a set of horrible commentators like Harsha and Gavaskar have totally killed the game.It will still survive because of the Indian's fascination for instant fame and fortune but in the long run it will be dead. But don't blame cricket without understanding its uniqueness.Am sure once you I can explain you the finer points, you will start to see it in a different light.Yes,, football is a beautiful game, wonderful to watch and appeals to all strata of society, easy to set up and gives enjoyment to everyone who play it..Still, cricket is unque in its own way!!

Unnecessary suspension
by Souri Sengupta on Jun 24, 2010 01:15 PM  | Hide replies

Kaka's suspension was awful decision by the Referee. Keita did a real drama and got rewatrded. I think he should give up playing football and join dramatics-will shine in that form of Art. Poor Kaka. I am a great fan of his-will miss him in action on 25th. He certainly did not commit an act for which he was punished unnecessarily. The refre is a criminal.

Make no mistake Souri, but Kaka should have been red carded for pushing the opponent, when he got the first yellow. He got lucky. Generally pushing another player is a red card punishment. Remem, Rooney Vs C Ronaldo in the last WC?.. Anyways, Blessing in Disguise for Kaka as he can rest in the match and Brazil has already qualified :) ..

Indians have no right to complain about the terrible vuvuzelas. Our traffic noise, air horns in trucks and buses, loud speakers in all street corners. We are a terrible country as far as noise is concerned and we should be the last people complaining about it.
