stop comparing football & stupid cricket. Cricket is a dwarf game played by a little more than a couple of nations. In India people just don't understand the difference in magnitude of the two games.

It's not over hyped. They are good perhaos too good. But they are not that effective in crunch matches. In entire Europe only Germans are with the attitude. Same fate is with Spain, Portugal Holland.
