Messi and selfish. You must be brain dead to talk like that. He is a team man to core, despite being cornered by the Greeks, he managed to play his natural game and offer opportunities to his mates.

If he is on song, then no one can stop Argentina from making the cup their own.

WC Foot Ball
by Viswanathan on Jun 23, 2010 06:33 AM  | Hide replies

As the first stage matches are coming to an end better picture is emerging. On seeing the teams play the toss is among Argentina, Brazil and West Germany to win the cup.

Why Dead - rubber Games in Cricket Series..??
by patel ravjibhai on Jun 23, 2010 06:19 AM

In football world cup... even after as many as 32 countries played, they have schedule such that all games have its own importance.. any one has chance to make it to the next round till their last match.. while in cricket, we have an examples of world cup & chapions trophy with lots of irrelevant matches... even in this asia cup, its only 4 teams facing each other only once & still we had 2 dead - rubber games...!!!

What the heck did Messi do?
by RajKumar SIngh on Jun 23, 2010 05:11 AM  | Hide replies

So why are you hyping him so much? We need to differentiate between doers (Leander Paes, Saina Nehwal) and pretenders like Messi and Sania Mirza.

dear Kabir Khan/Nanda Mathur

i respect your passion for football and deep interest in the game.
i understand you didnt agree with someone comment or found it silly but it doesnt mean u start ridiculing a religion (Sikhism) on those grounds

With due respects it would look strange if i pick on your comments and start commenting on Hinduism or Islam with a saddist thought process. I am sure that will be unfair and a hard pill for u to swallow

Kindly reserve your comments and ensure no comments against Sikhism are published ridiculing a religion which is a sacred oath for people and not an oppurtunity for ridiculing it

regards

Mandeep

stars like messi, kaka, torres, ronaldo are yet to score. ronaldo did score but we expected blast from him. some teams ..especially from europe too didnt live up to the expectations. spain loosing to swiss. englad finding future in draws. france went home. italy not behaving like title holders. like always south americans proving that they are the best when it comes to soccer. good luck to s.korea who made it to next level.

What an idiotic comment! Scoring is not the truest sign of gretaness in football, u dolt! And since u refer to football as soccer, i assume by football u mean the Yankee version? Even there, the star is a quarterback- have u ever seen him making a touchdown? Stick to cricket as that is all ur mind can decipher!

yeah because the rules of football is way more tough to understand , Also the strats used in football is way more difficult than the ones used in cricket.

this stupid statement that you made, pretty much destroyed anything valid you may have had made in your rant

Messi has not scored a goal yet in this world cup...how can he win a golden boot?

However, Messi might still get the golden ball award.
