Vincenzo Iaquinta has never convinced at the international level and after a poor season at Juventus I can only imagine he is a Lippi favourite. He was preferred over Giuseppi Rossi of Villarreal and Marco Borriello of AC Milan who are far better strikers than him.
There are plenty of big names whose careers would come to an abrupt finish after this world cup and Marcelo Lippi certainly is one to be booted out.
