Saina has truly done us proud with her sterling performances. She has the talent, grit, determination and loads of talent to go with her superb fitness. Still very young, she has many years of top flight badminton and let us hope she will bring in more laurels for the nation. Go for it, Saina Nehwal....
All this girl has done is win one thing after another. She deserves all the credit. While others in tennis/cricket have provided more news than wins she definitely has provided the bright spot. Shine on Saina.

while I congratulate saina, I want rediff to please start giving such news more prominence... I had to really search hard to find this news... off course i knew the news but the front spotrts page is full of cr*p cricket and football news... I request rediff to please make a new tab for badminton. just see the number of comments here... even a market driven e-news website would do the same... Please start giving prominence to such news... its a gr8 step ahead for india... In top 10 women rankings for badminton 7 are from china... saina is a lone indian...
WELL DONE SAINA , WHOLE INDIA IS PROUD OF YOU. MAY GOD GIVES YOU ENOUGH STRENGTH SO THAT YOU REACH THE ZENITH OF THIS GAME. WE NOW EXPECT A OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL FROM YOU. ALL MY BEST WISHES TO YOU. CARRY ON WINNING!
Another level headed sports personality from India right in the class of Vishy Anand and Sachin Tendulkar. Saina is a great asset for India. Hope she goes on to win many other laurels and gets amongst the top seeds of the sport !! Hats off to you Saina !

Agree. She is a champion player. I wish she keeps the momemtum from this win and will move to No. 1 in the world, soon.
The only trouble is the politicians and all the crappers that will soon come up with all kinds of nonsense such as congratulatroy events and some stupid medal to make her feel she has already achieved something.
My suggestion is that she moves out of india and use some other place as her base - as Anand did.
