by Boiler Givens on Jun 21, 2010 12:18 PM

Landon Donovan & Maicon fires from acute angle n finds the net..Robert Green howler is inherited by Ivory Coast's Barry...some really heart breaking decisions from the refs..Vuvulelas pounding our ear drums...low rate of gols and defensive techniques of teams...the only consolation being some stunning surprises from the underrated!!....Korea / Japan & Germany WC was infact the best by all standards...

vuvuzela , jabulani & horrible refereeing
by wizardo id on Jun 20, 2010 10:33 PM

this has got to be the worst world cup ever. its very noisy, they cannot shoot goals thanks to the ball, and some crazy defending has seen the referees over reacting. this world cup is a disaster.

That music or cacophony has made some of the boring matches interesting. Long live the traditions of SA.

interesting ? in what way ? one can barely hear the commentary. the ball has made goal scoring almost impossible. nothing to cheer abt this world cup!

If goalkeepers find the ball so difficult to handle, why fewer goals?

because the ball is good to control on grass, but the ball is behaving unpredictably once its airborne - no headers, no great shots, no curves. maicons was an exception.

This ball is the perfect ball ever made in the history of the game. The manufacturers have taken care to avoid any flaws and this ball is accurate by 100%. The players are complaining bcoz of their experience with the previous inaccurate balls where u need to hit hard. This is not the case with Jabulani.Just a gentle push will earn the goal. Players have to stop complaining and adjust to it.

adjust to the new ball in the world cup ? by the time you'd have adjusted, the team probably is out of the world cup. what a disaster by fifa.

This has been the case with whatever new balls have been designed by the fifa. Losers always get the excuse and complain and the soft target is the jabulani.
Infact the noise in the stadium will be more disturbing.

Yes, voodoo or not anything disturbing concentration should be discouraged. Besides, African teams have been losing so its magic has not worked for them!

losers have excuses ? have you played football ever ? have you played a game where the ball behaved differently ? and we're talking about world cup. not some gulley cricket and the dude brings a tennis ball instead of a rubber ball or soemthing...
