Spain defeated
by topspin on Jun 17, 2010 10:53 AM

It was shocking to see spain going down like tat despite have 63% possession of the ball.Their strikers didn't try to finish the score rather displayed unwanted passes between their forwards. they could have easily scored in atleast 3 occasions. Villa was looking rusty. They should have anticipated how Swiss would adopt a defending style and should have been creative in their goal scoring. Should have changed their style of play after the half time.A team with names like Villa, iniesta, xavi, alonso, puyol, torres should have done justice to their talent.Disappointing finish.Hope they come back the next game....

No point in palying beautiful games
by Bala on Jun 17, 2010 04:54 AM  | Hide replies

From 1974 to 1994, despite of classic and stylish display of beautiful games, Brazil could not win any world cup. In the 1990 world cup, after Brazil clearly dominating 100% of the time, Argentina's Caniggia’s header had shown Brazil the exit. Then Brazil decided to mix Latin American beauty with European defensive tactics.

Spain needs to learn a lesson from today's match. Learn the tricks of Gerd Muller, Diego Maradona, Paulo Rossi, Romario, Baggio, Bebeto, and Ronaldo. You need to score goals to win the game.
