MATCH FIXED ?
by damodaran mohan on Jun 19, 2010 01:40 PM

GER were subdued and it appeared as though the match was fixed. The other match between between SVN &USA was fast paced although SVN seemed to indulge in lot of rough tackling. The referee was dishing out yellow cards aplenty and may be a record also. However the match was good only next best to POR-I/COAST match.Easily i/Coast defence looked solid one of the best in the tournament so far.Other matches have not lived up to the expectations so far.African nations have disappointed mostly and let us hope at least one of them make it to the last eight or four.Spain,France,Italy and England among the european nations have been big disappointments.Among the asian countries N/Korea put up a spirited fight against Brazil and they seem to be unlucky to be placed in the 'group of death'.We are yet to see the magic touch of the super stars so far although C/ronaldo and messi did give glimpses of their powerful screachers.

Mind you buddy... There is no White monopoly in the game. One who wins, rules the game and in this game it is Brazil whether they play good or not are always treated as the king of the game.

I have watched all matches and till date Germany seems to be a very good team. it was really surprising to see the ecxellent passes and Ballack was not being missed at all.

It is the time for us to think that 130 plus crore has no representative in world soccer.

When countries like Honduras, New Zealand can qualify, its a shame that in spite of being the 2nd most populated country in the world, we are nowhere close. Its time for the big clubs to look beyond their interest and the sponsors to invest in football and hockey.

Who ever thought of this at Rediff is a genius.
by Raj Reddy on Jun 15, 2010 09:49 PM

Just giving scores the way they presented it here, some genius at Rediff has to be commended for that Joker's brain.
