Nadal is steadily but surely making a mark as one of the all time greats of the game. Federer has overshadowed Nadal's stature but now people have started recognizing the champion in Nadal.

Nadal is not only king of clay which he proved in wimbledon against Federer. If nadal is fit he will easily overcome Federer's Grand slam no.
Hats off to nadal to beat federer.

Nadal played well and deservedly won. And that has made Nadal fans all over the world again start this 'greatest' debate.
Roger Federer remains the greatest player of this era and arguably all times.
So where is Nadal's place then? Nadal has the opportunity given his game and age to one day become the greatest ever by dethroning Federer. But unless he does that, he will not be greater than Federer. Let time tell. We will know when Nadal ends his career whether he is a greater player than Federer.
As of now, 5 of his slams are on clay court.

Agreed that Nadal's 5 of his slams are on clay, but he lost the finals of the only other slam finals that he reached to Federer. Federer on the other hand has lost more matches played between the two greats. If at the end of his career Nadal finds himself as the second best Tennis Player of all time then he will have to borrow lines from the movie Troy and say "Let them say that I lived in the time of Federer".

Well ... Federer is greatest NOW! :)
And if you talk about future .. I don't see anyone else but NADAL in current times who is capable of getting close to him ...
Well So many people randomly wrote him off when he lost in french and retired from Wimb las year .. some asses even felt he would never win a GS again ... What happened ?

Now you write him off by saying he cant get close to Fed ... again .. there is decent chance of him making that happen ... .. So you guys better Wait and Watch !! Dont write off people ..

Esp Nadal :D You mite have to repent ...

dont dream of thinking that Nadal will win US open or Wimbledon in future as the Potros & Gulbis have arrived in the scene ...

n these r not slow clay courts where a player can slide to make a return ...
