Mr Ikbal is worng person chosen to head the committee. Harassment has not be physical to be qualified as sexual harassment. Even verbal sexual harassment is equally bad. Look at the autocratic attitude that why she hasnt complaint in last six years. If she wasnt able to gather courage in past six year, so should it mean she should live her whole life being molested by this pervert.
Giving a cleanchit just like that in statements make me wonder if Mr Ikbal himself sold his soul to the coach. Ideally he should have refrained from giving any statement at all and least of all giving clean chit on such a sensitive issue.
It is a criminal case and must be inestigated accordingly not by stooges who can be bribed and used as mouthpieces for the coach.

Yes. Zafar should have himself rejected being member of the committee considering his over 30 year old friendship with Kaushik.
Everyone knows that Zafar, Kaushik, Shahid and Mervyn used to play together as excellent forward team and have been very good friends since then.
If Kaushik found guilty, he must be given hardest punishment.

Indeed. I had high respect for Zafar as a national Hockey Player and Captain of team India, but by acting in such an unethical way he bought shame to sport.
He has let many sports fan down by acting in such unethical way.
HI is equally guilty in constituting a committe full of guilty person's friends. When this whole scandal started there was a doubt in rational mind that may be it is a conspiracy, but the way his friends and stooges have come out and the way they are trying to protect him clearly shows that he is guilty as charged. On top of that when a majority of Hockey Team is complaining then certainly there is truth to it. The case should be investigated by the competent authorities and till then this Kaushik should be kept away in his asylum.
SEX SHOULD BE BANNED IN INDIA FOR ALL COACHES IT SHOULD BE MADE A RULE. AND GOVT SHOULD CUT THERE SEXUAL POWER BEFORE GIVING THEM COACH POST FOR WOMENS.
This is a clear case of biased investigation - a very "sarkaari" hockey india is like always not serious about the rot that has destroyed it.
When the panel is friends with the accused, even the projection of impartiality is missing. The entire administration should have been sacked for allowing such a situation to arise. It happens only in India.
Comiittee comprising of former compatriots like Zafar Iqbal is likely to vitiate the fairness of proceedings. After all, their friendship with Kaushik will be a big influence and this will certainly be unfair to the 30-odd players. While 1 or 2 players accusations could be vengeful, 30-odd players cannot collaborate together to perpetrate a fraud.

I fully agree. Kaushik and Zafar were very close when they used to play for National team. Zafar's statement before the start of the probe was favoring Kaushik.
If Kaushik is found guilty, he must be punished so that Coaches would not dare to exploit girls.

U may be called cool dude but there is nothing cool or dude-ish about you ! You are conservative and chauvanist. You think women can ever muster up the courage to come out abt things like this ? Do you know how much courage it has finally taken and how many of the girls supported it ? This would never happen if Kaushik was not prone to being sexual with young girls. That is exactly how sexual harassmest is different from abuse. You don't have to 'do' anything ... just use your power and position to make sexual overtures to people with less power than you. Get real, man. Learn to be up to date before you open your mouth or before you call yourself a cool dude !
