Barcelona and Argentina hero...?
by NashikMarathi on Jul 19, 2010 10:01 PM

He may be a Barcelona hero, a club soccer hero that is but he is not yet an Argentina hero and a nobody on the international soccer scene.

Messi - enuff said about the new Maradona as internationally he is not even close to Batistuta. A very good club player where they give you a lot of room, the pressure is lesser and the standard is lower. Even on BBC notice boards these facets of the club game are agreed upon.

plz dont compare these 2 greats.. It is not sachin's fault that cricket is played in only 8 countries and so lesser people know about it. Both are truly great in their games.. just like Tiger Woods, Fedrerer, Anand... please dont comapare them and dont rate who is better.. Their genius is not rated by their popularity...its is their brilliance in what they do..bwb what tempted you to call messi a dog, just coz ya dont like football.. only like games thats eat up your time...get a life

why do you say that ? what is it that sachin has achieved that messi has not achieved ? keep in mind that what sachin earns in 1 year, messi earns in 1 week !!!

Messi is known all over the world. Football being the most popular sport on the planet followed by billions. Cricket and tendulkar are nothing in comparison.

Messi - the great
by Diago Dsouza on Jul 19, 2010 06:49 PM  | Hide replies

Lionel Messi is simply the greatest sportsman in this period. Sachin tendulkar cannot even touch him in popularity because football is played by all countries. Tendulkar is only popular in 8 countries that also 50%. Hail the king MESSI

Hey Diago. He could not score a single goal in the World Cup. I watched his matches just to see him score but it never happened. Probably he was concentrating on his business ventures.

you do not have wait for a long period. Messi has such potential that he can display a array of shots. Besides, he is an excellent game maker. Definitely he will shine in the coming years..He is brilliant, one bad performce did not take any shine of him..

It was no performance to talk on Messi in this WC2010.
Never he setup a goal, nor he was able to score.

Either u dnt knw abt football or u must be a fan of Cristina Ronaldo to degrade Messi's WC performance....

Yeah - I saw the match against Germany when he was bottled up like soda in a bottle and looked as effective as Dinesh Mongia in 2003 cricket WC.
