Football is not the only thing for 1 billion you loser.Thinl large and don't be narrow minded Herry the Fool
They put Villa's goals but they dint put Puyols powerful header against Germans! I blive that was bigger than Villa's. As it is Few of Villa's goals were somebody else cookie, dropped and picked up by Villa. So, Planned Goals should have been considered.

Maicon scored same type of goal during a match against Portugal, in which Brazil won 6-1. In both occasion he used gap between goalkeeper and post

What a fool you are Pavan. Sougata didn't say it was a world cup match, he meant the friendly Brazil played against Portugal in 2008. Don't just comment without getting the facts right.

No it was not. I do not think there was anybody to pass the cross to at that position. Look into the footage again, his shot was full of intent. Nobody hits the ball so hard to cross it over to any player within say 20 yards.

on second thoughts, you make sense but there is more to add. if you look really really carefully, you would also see that the fact that ball went through between the near post and the keeper was lucky because all maicon seemed to do was to fire the ball in. i do not think he aimed between the near post and the keeper. but you are probably absolutely right about it not being a cross

You do need a fair amount of luck to pull it off. That is true for most of the goals in this list. After all you can not predict the trajectory. However you go by your instinct and intent. Maicon wanted to hit it there, tried and came up a success. On another 10 occassion in exactly same situations he might have missed. But he has scored at least one such goal in the past (against Portugal in 2008). So I won't say it was a fluke, he tried and you should get points for trying too!!

Guys donot discuss a lot on luck or attempt, every goal need a luck & affort with accuracy, indeed that goan was a gem of the top goals, you can do goals from front or across but zero side line goal is a rare.
is it trying for that ? it is not underestimate we have , India too capable to partake we have high fi energetic players, but when this gys get chance ?

What about Japan's Honda hitting a free kick to the goal, that was the best free kick of the tournament!
