In the first half both played negative, as if it is a wrestling match. Later, Spain at least tried to score for winning. Dutch always tried to negate the Spanish players from the attack, just by kicking them. I actually wanted to see Brazil vs Spain in the final for a good show of football skills. In the whole tournament I rank Germany vs Spain as the best match, with good strategy and skills.

Congratulations to Spain to lift the world cup with proof of good play. (In English now).
this cup final was the nadir in terms of football as a game, worse than the 1990 final. the dutch are to be blamed for such a poor show. they were capable of playing good eye catching football but chose otherwise. what could have been an even more entralling game than than the Germany - Spain semi final turned out to be more in the nature of a rugby match. the Dutch could held their head high had they they played to their true style and potential even if they lost playing their natural game, a glimpse of which one saw in their QF against Brazil. THEY GOOFED UP BY NOT PLAYING THEIR NATURAL GAME AND NOT ALLOWING SPAIN TO PLAY THEIR ATTRACTIVE SOOCER WHICH EVEN THE LEGENDARY CRYUFF HAS PRAISED. WHEN THEY LOOK BACK ON THE FINAL THEY WILL REALISE THEIR FOLLYIN TRYING TO BE WHAT THEY ARE NOT.

Spain was a better Team for sure...else they cud'nt have beaten germany in such a brilliant form...
Indeed Spain and Dutch played very well and it was tactic which paved the way for Spain to grab the Title at the extra time. It was eye soaring delight to the world which was hooked to the TVs around during midnight.
All the best to both the teams for their fullest effort.
