How could we know of this event after it has passed. Am a regular at newspapers yet dont remember Sharath being mentioned. Maybe in some small columns & he's a No 6? Would our media reduce obssessing with cricket a bit? We seem to have some good sportsmen whom nobody seem to have heard of. I remember being told about the men & women badminton players of India (In addition to Saina Nehwal) from somebody from Malaysia, their strengths, weaknesses, rankings, etc. Indian media can do better than concentrating on Dhoni's wedding.
He is from Tamil Nadu and lives in Spain. Just like Vishy. What does this tell us? If you are an Indian and want to do well in life, stay outside India. Abhinav Nindra stays abroad too. Sania Mirza did not do this and is suffering!

This seems all Indian sports person should stay in Spain.. Lucky Charm, Spain won the Soccor WOrld Cup and Rafal Nadal , winner of Wimbledon again from Spain. Hail to Spain
Sharath, its a fantastic win! Its time to show that apart from cricket there is another sport where indians can have there supremacy! Great going... all the best....
Sharath, you have made the Indian TT fraternity proud by your achievement. The distinction of becoming the first Indaian to win an ITTF Pro Tour Championship will stay with you forever. I sincerely wish you many more succesess and hope you would crack the top 20 by the end of this year. Best wishes.
