The song "WakaWaka" is lifted from a 1984 Cameroonian song titled, 'Zangalewa (Waka waka)'.I don't know whether she has given due credit to them!!!! or she has given copy right charge to them!!!

Yes, everyone knows that, but people in African continent did not like the song for a different reason and that is Shakira's pronounciation is not correct. It does not matter to the rest of world coz it is foot tapping and peppy number with added beauty of Shakira's hip-shaking. The translated version is as good.

This is ironical. She is not at all a musician. She is an entertainer. Musically she is flat. She is a success because of her figure.

ramandeep this reflects 'your' view of things, which is very cheap!! shakira dances steps commonly done in latin america. if you do not hear the song 'hips dont lie' and just watch her body in a cheap sense, it is your culture that reflects.

There is nothing cheap about it. Musically she is zero. Even WAka Waka is totally flat. I pity people like u who confuse music with just entertainment.

Many have better figure than her, are they more successful than her? Unreasonable jealously makes us to overlook other\'s talent!
