Well in terms of earnings, cicket will not even feature in top ten sports and MSD will not feature in top 50. Again, Indian cricketers earn money only because of the size of our nation not because they are doing anything great in the sport itself. I know there will be many who would want to argue with me by mentioning Tendulkar and other individuals, but in a team sports, only team achievemets count.

Coming back to Nadal, he has earned 33 million dollars till date sheerly by WINNING !!! There is no money for losers in Tennis.

I think yes. His prize money for 2010 only is $5,506,278 ( Only till June). This is only from Tennis. Other incomes will also be there.

... for some of our stars who dont care for other sports inspite of having huge wealth.
We, as usual, were waiting for an example from the 'west' and now we have one. HeHe.

With extra wealth our sports stars invest in Resturants and in stocks of giant companies like Reliance and Sahara etc.

Dude its money dude.. He is investing as a busines and not to promote a team!! Just like our IPL businessman's.. They make business with football as they play it and we do the same with crcket..

If any sport is capable of providing enough revenue and profit, even our STARS will be happy to invest in it..

Satish...you should change your thinking....he is Real Madrid supporter and if his intension is take make money, he will go with successful club like Real Madrid, not with a troubled club like he is doing now. He is example for others.

He is a Mallorcan. If business was his intention he would have done it with more successfull and famous clubs like Real Madrid. He is a well known Madrid supporter.
