I think Mueller was missed a lot yesterday, given a yellow card aftr a stupid decision by the refree against argntina. And also I think that the Paul-octpus predection was playin in their minds, and the body language showed that they were not confident enough.

right..muller was missed bigtime..also spain played a great match yesterday...like in 2006, italy reserved their best for semifinal & final. However this german team deserves lot of kudos.
German Fans that their team was all time great and so predicted every match with big wins in favour of Germans Realise that your team was an average lucky team Even a average Bulgarian team with a Stoichkov. This Germany somehow managed to score in start and then in end.

Bulgarian team was a good team, they beat Rudy Voller's Germany. I used to hate that German team.
This new Germany plays with flair and flamboyance, like Brazil of old days
Spanish in contrast abandoned their attacking football and switched to old italian style, somehow scratch put a goal and then stay put in defense

Not flair and flamboyance, but a new approach. Score first, defend and attack if there is open space when the opponent try to equalise
I am a fan of Dutch and Spain, as they always were unlucky despite playing beautifully. I root for Dutch in this WC. But I have to concede that this WC was all German - a bunch of 20 years olds steam rolling all big names disrupted only by a foolish Yellow card on their trump striker Muller. They are the discovery of this world cup.
With Spain or Holland, they will be happy about reaching this stage, but most of their players are playing their last WC. Germany has showcased its future.

ball possession means nothing. Both england and Argentina had 60% possession against Germany. It is part of the German strategy to let ball possession and score thru counter attacks. Somehow their trumpcard Muller's absence had affected their strike this time.
Muller's suspension was out of a wrong yellow card decision - ball had accidently hit his hand and he was given yellow card, as if he deliberately did it.

England and Argentina had equal chances like spain against Germany. But their forward lost too many opportunities. Possession matters.

Spain had world class goal keeper in Casillas. Argentinas Romero had a bad day behind bar against German. All the world cup winning team had good goal keepers. Buffon, Kahn, Bathez work behind bar helped their team a lot to achieve success

The pace of the match rattled Germany..Though they are all young, I don't think many of them had the strength to counter the superior mid field passing game of Spain..They looked tired after 70 minutes..Spanish did the same trick against Paraguay..Xavi and Iniesta were as usual exceptional in the midfield..
argentina - theynever mind opening up their defense but they make sure they go all out in attack..
germans - they doesnt know midfield control, but, they always have two strikers waiting for a clear pass from the full backs..
brazil - attacks with almost 10 men and they defend with the same number..
italy - defends with 10 people and rarely ventures into enemy area..thats y a knockout game involving italy will always lead to penalties as they also dont score and they wont even allow the opposition to score.
spain is the only team which has the best style in football..controlling and taking care of ball possession is the key to their success..
i wont be surprised if they go all teh way and add this world cup to their existing euro kitty..

He retired and later expressed his willingness to play for Holland. But the current coach did not consider him. His form has dipped considerably

well, the dutch always have big names but are under achievers on big stage..this is the time they had been waiting for a long time..but spain is teh favourite..with the way dutch play, we can easily see many yellow and few red cards in the final...what ever it is, after a long time, we are not seeing the defensive italy or a over attacking brazil in the finla..its going to be a final between disciplined and organized football in spain versus the all out attack of teh flying dutch...
Germans are good with their single approach through out this tournament which was helped by early goals. Defend and counter attack without caring for ball possession.

The final should be a cracker with both teams fighting it out since none had won before. I tip Spain to win for they have the cavalier approach and the panache to belt in goals and win the WC.
The 3rd place game should also be a cracker with Germany and Uruguay battling out their wits.

Spain is favourite for title while Germany will finish 3rd. But Suarez and Forlan can surprise Germany.

After Ballack and Muller comeback, they will be more balanced side. However Spain is good for them.

Ballack is over the hill, he is 33 now and time is up for him. Kroze too will pack up as his time is over.
