mind games
by veerapuram dharan on Jul 07, 2010 12:48 PM

this is a typical german pre match mind games they play on the opposition..when paul predicted germans loss against serbia, it got into their minds and boomeranged on them..even against argentina, maradona's men were clearly trapped psychologically and they played exactly the opposite of the way they had been playing till then..so watch out, its spain vs ned in the final..and from there, it could be any one..

Get your facts right. India didnt "qualify" for FIFA world cup 1950. Since very few teams (13 to be specific) confirmed their participation for world cup, FIFA decided to invite India to make the numbers

well, to be frank, top players consider the wimbledon and teh french opens as top grandslams to chase for..thats the reason, we could see fedex winning record wimbledon and nadal winning record french opens and it is good to see both chalenging and winning others supremacy..as far as the US and AUS is concerned, if nadal thinks this should also be in his kitty atleast once, then that could be an inspiration and he could well be winning it..after that, nadal might focus only on wimbledon and french opens chasing fedex record slams win..

Federer dominated in all GS except French Open. No one could stop him in last 7 years. Now he is playing far below from his best so other youngsters have equal opportunities.

Paul, the Psychic Octopus

as much as the games on the field, it is the child-like love for such 'trivial' things that make any tournament (especially soccer) enjoyable. there is no reason to take it more seriously than that ! i am sure it is better than all the betting that sucks the money out of the naive and gullible !

cheers

Number game
by john on Jul 07, 2010 12:16 PM  | Hide replies

1. Brazil won the World Cup in 1994; before that they also won in
1970.Adding1970 1994= 3964

2. Brazil also won the World Cup in 2002; before that they
also won in 1962. Adding 1962 2002= 3964

3. Argentina won its last World Cup in 1986;
before that they also won in 1978. Adding 1978 1986= 3964

4. Germany won its last World Cup in 1990;
before that they also won in 1974. Adding 1974 1990= 3964

5. Therefore if you want to know what nation is going to win the World Cup in
2010, you only have to subtract 2010 from the magic number that we have
determined: 3964.

3964 minus 2010 = 1954...
In 1954 the World Cup was won by Germany!!!

Probably not scientific... but pretty interesting…

brazil had won the cup in 2002, before that they won i n 1994. add it and it would be 3996.

brazil had also won the cup in 1970 before that they also won in 1962, hence the total is 3932

is 3932 = 3996?
