I really enjoyed reading this article. You made the warmth and hospitality of your host family come alive. Sounds like they enjoyed getting to know you as much as you did getting to know them! It was wonderful to read about this cross-cultural connect, and it makes me want to visit SA myself. Thanks for an interesting read!
Sometimes, people just surprise you with their lack of fear and inhibition. You story at the bank is a case in point. If I ever go to a World Cup and enjoy, I think I'd be ready to die.
Such an honest and thoughtful account of your South African sojourn. Having spent some time there myself I can safely attest to the fact that when it comes to hospitality, South Africans sure do give us Indians a run for our money. All those in disagreement have clearly missed the very point of this article!
If you are coming to a new country you should plan and come perfectly.. You showed the indian cheap mentality which most of the people in india has.. to insult all the indians..dont go anywhere without planning..it will works in India not in other countries.. because all the other countries are well developed compared to india..I think by seeing your face the girl in the bank decided that you cannot afford more than that..
Hey no excitement in reading the travelogue sid. it is as usual as anyone. Just portray it as just like watching a movie. then you will get more pick...
