If you or me were there, we would have done the same thing. moreover what that has to do for Ghana missing the penalities. Uruguay also had lot of chances that were missed. Forlan is one of the best free kick taker in the world today. Iam for Uruguay

Uruguayan linesman is cheat...he disallowed English goal which gave more confidence to Germans and they become stronger match by match.

grapes are sour...it penalty was not given then it would be cheating...Ghana missed penalty,so it is their fault...by the way what u will call France's win over Ireland...it was deliberately double handling of ball.

wrong prediction, he said if all team losses spain has a chance..but spain has to beat Germany first..

No prediction for today's matches but psychic octopus has predicted that Spain will prevail over Germany in their semifinal match
I am very sad to see that this great event will come to an end and the stupid game of cricket which is played by 8 to 10 countries being shown to us. It will take us sometime to come back to normal after a fantastic one month. This sport is truly great as it is played by the entire universe. India should start playing football seriously as once we qualify everyone will know india and the football players unlike cricket only 10 countries know who is tendulkar. Messi,KAKa,Robinho,Mueller everyone in the world knows them but no one knows who is tendulkar except for 10 countries

just to add... ppl like u were praising likes of ronaldinho in the previous WC and see now he doesnt even find a place in the team.. this shows ur short sightedness..

ronaldinho is now playing for ac milan and narrowly missed world cup selection because dunga wanted obedience rather than artistry.remind u that geniuses are more prone to fall than minions

doesnt ur TV remote has an off switch. use it when cricket is shown to u.. we saw how gr8 the likes of Messi, Kaka n Robinho are in the WC... still tendulkar is a once in generation player even if it is in a less followed sport like cricket. so dont compare ordinary players with tendulkar.. the likes of messi n kaka can only dream of scoring a goal in WC, tendulkar already is the highest run getter in the WC.. Messi was still in nappies when tendulkar started playing and he is still going strong. v ll see where messi is in 20 years from now and then we will compare..

You know why didn't Kaka cry when Brazil lost... Because he said "Pushpa, I hate tears"...

if u r comparing cricket with football which requires more physical stamina than cricket and boasting that sachin has played 20yrs, better u compare with vishy who is playing chess for 23 yrs and is at his peak and may continue for another 20yrs. sachin can never dream of playing for 40yrs
Re: Re: Re: Football - Greatest Sport

chess is a mental game. first find a good frame of reference.. cricket may not be as physical as football but it still requires lots of travelling which causes fatigue and stress. this is not the case for football.

Football IS certainly the greatest game ever invented..the whole world knows it and plays it and if we dont play it, that does not change the truth. It is upto each nation to choose what game they should play or make popular based on the desires of people. We indians are stuck with cricket and so it will be!!

Football is the most popular, i agree. but the greatest.. sorry. The reason it is popular that it requires less skill and money to play.. cricket tests all your aspects and that is why it is called a test.

R U A DOG???? Why do you bark like this??? Football is anyway much more popular than cricket.....U don't have to believe my words....go by statistics

here is another bengali babu thinking he knows everything. get a life. wat statistics r u talking abt. i can use statistics to prove stupid statement. learn some sense and then talk.. ur reply lacks common sense and is devoid of any logic. first frame a decent reply n then v ll talk. till then keep dreaming as if u r the karta dharta of football in this country..

do u thnk countries other than those in the subcontinent even take that game seriously??Even in england, australia,SA cricket is nt the most popular sport and it was never a sport which demanded physical toughness....and the very fact that u know Messi but an Argentine kid doesnt know Tendulkar goes to show the diff between futbol n crkt...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Football - Greatest Sport
by Charlie Tango on Jul 06, 2010 11:33 PM
and another bengali babu to the rescue of his brethen.. i was talking abt skills and talent and not abt popularity.. no doubt Messi is more popular, but he is miles behind the greatness achieved by tendulkar in his sport.

once everybody in india scores a goal ghosting past defenders on a pitch fresh after monsoon rain, cricket will go extinct.

Dont you people think when we argue we are divided , rather than that just put forth ur opinion and not try hard to prove your point. unfortunately the trick that the British used can surely work even now with us.
Re: FIFA

urguay will miss Striker Luis Suarez -- especially his hand that blocked Ghanian goal. the hand of devil is not there. but no such problem for holland. their Wesley Sneijder is all raring to go..it will be a miracle if uruguay scores a single goal.
Re: FIFA

it is not ur video game where u can crown even an average team champion.. Uruguay has been extremely lucky not to face a real opponent till now.. lets see how they are able to face the Dutch

We saw what quality dutch team have, they were targetting brazil players more than ball, it is very bad decisions from refree, these things paved the way for dutch team
