sampras won the u.s. open at the age of nearly 32 yrs. so federer has still 3 yrs of active and competitive game left in him. by this time he will definitely 2 or 3 grand slams before he retires. this u.s. open will be a test for him.... for federer to gain the no.1 ranking he will have to wait for atleast one year.

keep dreaming all Fed fans.....no harm in that....he will slip further in rankings and there be doubt for him winning any more grand slams....he has already got 2 in 2009 i charity from Nadal.
Federer fans always called nadal the "King of Clay".Yes ofcource he is but from now on he is the "King of Tennis".It is going to be tough for federer since he will be grouped in the same draw as of nadal and he has a great mental bloc against the "King of Tennis"

Finally, some sense dawns upon the clone! But I still feel Fedex will prove my clones 'prediction'(we all know how accurate his predictions are) wrong and win at least another slam.
Roger may not become no 1 in a long time but he will win slams. I m not sure he will get back to the top. He says he will and I will take his word. It would be very interesting to see if Nadal and Federer be grouped in the same draw..

You were also pretty sure Rafa wouldn't win Wimbledon,so I dont think you need to take your own opinion seriously, much less anybody else.
Though the great Fedex is not playing now , he will be back soon to the top. He will regain Wimbledon & French open next year. He is the greatest ever to play the game. Nadal is also a great champion has been the main thorn for Federer so far. But the master will surely defeat him in Grand Slams before he retires from the game.

He will slip further by the year end. May be he will retain his position in Top 10. He should now stop bothering about rankings, and concentrate on his fitness, and adding a few more slams to his bag. I am sure he can still do it.

I doubt if he can do it. It seems now any player in top 20 is in position to beat him. Age and fitness factor......
