let us not undermine some great persons achievement....... How many indians can you find in tennis who have achieved what leander (mahesh bhupathi, Krishnan, Amritraj brothers) achieved. We must be proud of their achievements and try to achieve what they could not achieve treating them as our guiding source/ inspiration.
Both Black and Paes complement each other for every point.. They had excellent coordinaation.. Its really great that paes managing excellent coordination with world class players!! No wonder Martina Navaratilova chose him as her partner for her mixed doubles comeback!! Go Leander.. Break all the records and u r very much fit and capable of doing IT...

Leander is good player no doubt...but i would say that Vijay Amritraj is India's best player ever considering Amritraj has done great work in singles....
Congratulations to Paes and Cara on this achievement.
Paes has kept the Indian flag flying high at every tournament. This coming from a guy with almost no backup support. It is much easier for players from the US or some other countries to play at this level as they have so much experience and so many players over the years to provide support and advice. Barring Amritraj, and the Krishnans, there has been very limited support for Paes and he has done well with what he has.
Kudos to his efforts, on a personal level after illness as well as for the country.

he is the champ.. a truly magnificent player and a great human being.. He is a beacon of hard work and perfection in the country which gives more value to mediocrity, plolitics, favourism, groupisms. Unlike the mediocre Mahesh Bhuphati, he is an embodiment of sacrifice and selflessness...
i still remember getting all patriotic watching him destroy Goran Ivanisevic.. He is a patriot and Legend, who could have gone on to scale bigger heights in Singles, but chose to team up with that Bhuphati...
He has been an inspiration for me. I had watched his 1994 Davis cup tie with France. The passion he showed against Henrick Leconte team to take India to the semi Finals, was simply great. This was followed by the Atlanta Olympics 1996 where he won bronze medal.
