It will b a good match with very tough competition. Germany will definitely miss Thomas Muller's goal scoring abilities and also he was inspirational in making moves along with Bastian Swainsteiger (my favorite German player). I think for Germans & Spanish showdown, it will be tussle between Xavi-Swainsteiger and Iniesta-Sami Khadira in the midfield. Both the teams have pros and cons Spanish definitely have an edge upfront as Villa-Xavi-Iniesta trio is brilliant but as far as defense is concern Germans are best in business lead by Mertesacker! Mesut Ozil has made lots of news as the best upcoming player for Germany and he proved that with his brilliant goal against Ghana. I think he is capable of filling the place empetied by Muller and then it will be Klose-Podolski-Ozil's trio for Germany to score goals but I think Spanish trio is much better and if Torres too find his lost form in Semis then it will all over for Germans !!

I think this Spanish side is incomparable as far as midfielders are concern. They are in the era where any team can boast of having 1 Spanish midfielder. Its really a shame for the world but at the same time luxury for Spain that gifted and extraordinary players like Fabrigas and David silva have to sit out to make way for others in midfield and not able to play full match and player like Xabi Alonso is playing as a defensive midfielder !!!! I really want Spaniards to win coz the World will never see this bunch of midfieders in 1 team again !

Well said... What a gifted attacking forward and midfield Spain has...Andres INIESTA,Xavi,David VILLA,XABI ALONSO,Fernando TORRES to name some...
See their bench (Fernando LLORENTE,Cesc FABREGAS,DAVID SILVA,Jesus NAVAS) ...it is definitely better than most of the teams starting players.....LLORENTE impressed all of us in the portugal match....
Come on Spain.. Its time for you to lift the trophy.....

Pique has blatantly and foolishly pulled down cordoza within the penalty box. Spain should leave out such fools from the team, if they wish to give them a fair chance for themselves in the Semi-final.

Spain is not such an easy team...
it will be a tough clash for either side and 50-50 chances for both...
spain has gifted mid-fielders and strikers...Germany also has equally balanced attack and defence...
only in the defence area spain stays behind Germany..but definitely Spain will overcome this with their amazing tactical possesion of ball by great passes....
I think we are going to see some really good semi-finals, particularly Spain-Germany match. Spain defeated Germany in 2008 EURO Cup. Germany will definitely try to avenge Spain but that could make thing wrong for them. If Spain plays their usual tactical game of holding the ball with fast and short passes, this will irritage the German and that could open up some opportunity for the SPANISH team. I hope this match will be evenly poised and not one sided.

Iniesta and Villa will need support if Spain really want to beat the rampaging Germans. Germans however will miss Thomas Muller who is inspirational for them throughout and making brilliant moves on his will, here I think Germans are weak coz there inform goal scorer is out of semis but their defense led by Mertesacker (best center back in the world today) & midfield lead by Swainsteiger (highly inspirational and HART of the team as Joachim L�w said and my favorite German player after Michael Ballak)are rock solid. I think the main battle between Spin and Germany will be on fought midfield coz both the sides have excellent mid fielders but Spain's defense is bit weak !

1. Unlike other matces this match was High Energy/Intencity Match. Paraguays Passwork was better, their Tackling the opponents was better and even Ball Control & Speed was a bit better than Spanish players.
2. Both the teams played to their Patential, unlike Portugal Team which was a bit slow in their math against Germans,and the match was probably the best fought match of this World Cup so far.
3. It was trilling & nail biting. Both were getting chances, only the Statistics will show, but Spanish players difficulty, against the Paraguaian Defence, to convert the ball in Goals was definetly Inferior.
4. Spanish were lucky to win against Paraguay. I was expecting Paraguay to not ony win this Match but Advance furter and Surprise Everyone with a win in Finals to lift the "World Cup".
5. Bad luck Paraguay this time. Wish you good luck for the next 2014 World Cup.
6. My comments are never biased or based on Media Hypes but on Griound reality.

I don't know whether Spanish will go on to beat disciplined, young and highly gifted Germans this time....they are playing like a champion and everyone is contributing from there side on the other hand Spainsh side is highly relying on Iniesta and Villa's magic. Both the top players are playing like champion for Spain but they need support and here I think the are week as Torres has lost his magic but it will be an interesting encounter between Germany and Spain.

If Spain scores the first goal before Germans can score one, then it will be a litmus test for Germany's team. And I think this is what Spanish would like to do to have the psychological advantage against this invincible Germany team because only game Germany lost was against Serbia in which they were down 1 goal and never came back. Otherwise, given the way Germany is playing, it would be difficult to stop them from reaching the final.
I think Spanish will post a better challenge to rampaging Germans as Thomas Muller will miss Semis too for Germany and that will make a big difference upfront and will definitely hamper Germans gol scoring ability. I love Mertesacker's (alias Mirte) defending in yesterday's game. He is a pillar of German defense and Bastian is vintage, Specially the way Swainsteiger made the moves for German forwards. David Villa on the other hand is turning everything to gold but now I think its time for Spanish to give Fabrigas a chance in place of Xavi and it will definitely make a difference. Torres is also due to score and I think the stage is set for him now.
