No wonder these banks are bankrupt
by Asif Muthoot on Jul 02, 2010 11:49 PM

Its no great wonder that these morons ruin the banks and bankrupt them...Brazil lost to Netherlands 2-1...these guys are also the same guys who bet bank money on things like derivatives and mortgage backed securities which are potentially devastating.

I partially agree with you. Football WC is not a mere game extravaganza....there are millions of dollars at stake becos of sponsors,hotel/airline/hospitality industry. It is a complete demand & supply chain that certainly involves economics theories in it. Economists may not be actual players, but they can predict & plan the outcome/effect of such events worldwide.I hope this gives enuf explaination.

Keen Contest
by syed ullah on Jul 02, 2010 02:36 PM  | Hide replies

Both sides are tipped against other top teams of the tournamnent Netherlands and Germany and it is going to be keenly contested matches. Though germans lost one of their group matches they outplayed England to enter into quarters and are very much back in the tournament. Spain and Urayguay are the other two good sides left in the tournamemt and it can be anyone's CUP.
