Its great to see these players. At the age of 27 many people start their careers. But at the age of 28, people are talking abt Federer retiring.....such is life....Its real inspiration...what we take to achieve in our life time...these players do it in 8 or 9 years...this shows their hard work..motivation and all.. Salutes to these people and we need to learn from them.
fedex is never the same.. after giving birth to twins he body has taken a toil.... how many fathers are currently playing. definitely not the top players.
hence his priorities has become more family then the opponents.
This is his worst performance in the past 8 yrs of his career. Something which even new comers would not mind emulating. Moms like Kim Clijsters retired and won a Grand Slam after becoming a mom. So Fedex is no way finished. His opponents had better be wary. If this is his worst...then things can only get better. He is a class player. Just see, other players like Roddick, Hewitt who came before him. They have not been so consistent. Once in a while they reach semis or finals. So apart from Nadal, there is not much challenge to Federer in terms of consistency. At some point of time, his high standrds and benchmarks is bound to be his undoing.
It's not a very great achievement for Berdych as Federer was not at all in real form throughout the match. For that matter,he has not been able to maintain his normal standards right from before the French open. His service was not coming through when needed. So were his placings and drop shots. Most of his first serves were on the net.I am not trying to take the credit out of Berdych, but he has won against an out of form Roger.
Probably he needs rest after so many years of playing at the top.May be a break will help him regain his earlier form.He is only 28 yrs and has definitely few more years before him.I wish he comes back as World No1 soon.

Dhan! He also seems to be lacks of motivation! It seems his passion for the game has died up after wining the French Open. But you are also right age and continuous tennis for years is having its toil on his body!

I would say never write him off. He may not win 3. But he will be around and will contend in all the slams he plays.

Is it the same way your mother knows you ? Dont get personal "Its Magic" and never involve anyone's family here.

I agree with Mulay. Recently seeing an increasing spate of statements needlessly insulting the other person's family. The writer probably doesn't understand he is demeaning himself in the process.

I appreciate Mulay for his decent argument! Argument is good in many ways but that can be done in a good and friendly way. *Kudos to Mulay*

I wish he plays atleast 3-4 GS matches with Rafa. That is required to prove Rafa's greatness in the long term when he hangs his racquette.
