Federer v Andreev
by chelsea on Jan 20, 2010 01:20 PM

This might look like a stuttering start but Andreev is ranked in 30's. Not the type of player who you want to meet in the first round. Check out the rankings of the players who Murray, Nadal and Djokovic had to meet in the first round. Additionally, Andreev is a dangerous opponent because he is somewhat a right hand version of Nadal. You'll remember that Federer had to beat him in 5 sets at the 2008 US Open in the third or fourth round.

quite possible, Aishwarya. but you would probably be aware that all great champions were/are slow starters whose form improves with every game. moreover, Davydenko and Murray have been in great form in the recent past. maybe one of them might clinch this!

'Who is going to win' is the question everyone starts answering before a Grand Slam starts.
Federer has answered the question 'Who is not going to win' by his first show in the Australian Open 2010. Federer is not going to win this one.
Of late, he has been requiring some generosity from his opponents for his victories. Andreev was generous, but Djokovic and Nadal wouldn't be.

Forget Nadal. He will not reach beyond Semi.

Djokovic and D.Potro are favorite. Federer as always can surprise anyone.
