She got publicity for no reason..Except that one year she had never performed anything in world tennis circuit. If we consider that from India there was no girl tennis player who made so much name then little publicity could be given to her.
Else if you consider other players then this girl is utter waste. Better give publicity to Saina Nehwal not Sania mirza.
ok not for consective five years her WTA ranking dropped to 123 one or 2 years ago, also the grand slam she ever won was due to bhupathi, bhupathi mixed was world no 1 anyways. If she was so good why didn't they 2 ever played mixed double again, for eg US open. She is a good player but she have into media and stuff easily. Do not forget she comes from a rich dad, ppl like KK shroff and poojashree are also good but i do not think anyone is pushing em forward, poojashree won ITTF tournament last year, where was media?
