I am surprised why not any of the business houses from our country come forward and give assurance to our national team players that they will pay their dues whether IHF have funds to pay or not. I am surprised palyers of national team are getting only Rs 4.5 lac for each tournament and that is also not paid at time. Few of our corrupt officers and ministers earn multiple of crores each month but they don,t have money to pay to our hockey team players. I request the business houses and Prime Minister to do something to save the pride of Indian Hockey and our players.
Mattoo works without salary as the head of Hockey India and also as the treasurer of the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee. The only benefit he recieves is a car from the CWG OC. He is being straightforward, honest and transparent about the lack of funds. He also told the players that if they get a podium finish in the world cup, sponsors would come in and one crore will be handed out to the players. The 1.74 crores recieved from SAHARA do not go into the national men team's payment but, also the women team and the junior teams. Moreover, a lot of it going into organising the Hockey World Cup, which is a great step in reviving hockey in India. The timing of the player's actions is highly controversial.

Its really a shame to the government who cannot fulfill the requirements of players, playing our national game on the otherside everyone is pouring money on cricket. Salute to these guys who r ready to bear the expenses for the worldcup on their own. Thus anyone here know how to help these peoples by fund.I wud like to help them with my salary. I know it wud be less but still by my starting it wud increase the amount. If needed m ready to collect more. but the thing is that it should be in right hands & the use shud be only for welfare of hockey. Guys pl help those warriors.
The assurance of 1 crore for podium finish to the World cup is an old trick guys, grow up hockey india. If u will beg borrow steal to pay them then, why will the players belive you if you have not paid them for last 1-2 years of achivements ? I bet u will not give it in writing that u will pay them 1 crore for podium finish at WC.. Also calling players greedy etc is just a cover to you hid ur mismanagement ! After all its not you who toil hard to get the medal..
THIS IS TIME FOR PRIMENESTER TO INTERVINE AND MAKE THE A/C OF HOCKEY INDIA PUBLIC.EVEN THE MONEY THEY GOT FROM SPONSORS,WHOLE THING INCLUDING EXPINDITURE SHOULD BE PUBLIC.NOW THIS IS NOT THERE ONLY HOCKEY IONDIAs PROBLEM.
Hockey India definitely seems to be red-faced. The player have challenged it and I hope the players dont move back from their list of demands, afterall what they are asking is well deserved. You cant even think of paying the national players of a national game a daily allowance of 20$ per day while on tour. Ridiculous. Why do the administrators want to gobble up the money? Afterall it is the players who sweat it out on the turf! If the players back down at this stage, this type of exploitation would continue for ever, which is bad for Indian Hockey, "the so called national game"
Any way my messages is not going to change anything in this corrupted world :- Dismiss Hockey Board members and appoint some sensible and caliber guys who can do better jobs that these idiots. My full support for the Indian Hockey team.
