It doesn't look easy for Federer......
by Anurag Rathore on Jan 05, 2010 05:53 PM

Age is catching him up. I still believe he will play all four GS semifinal in 2010 but not sure about his victory. Djokovic and D.Potro looks favorite for year 2010. Murray and Nadal comes after these 3 players.

Write anything nonsense. Let Federer lose everything from here and yet you will not be able to take away the "Greatest ever" trophy which has already been awarded to him.

FEDERER IS THE GREATEST
by Bitsavan on Jan 05, 2010 03:36 PM

There is nothing more for Federer to prove that he is the greatest. He has done it all. The only memento still missing in this master show piece is the Calendar Grand Slam. I am not sure whether he can achieve that feat considering that his game is not that sharp of date and the fact that today's Grand slam events are played on different surfaces. It was easy for Laver on those days because out of four grand slams, three were grass courts and one was clay. But today all the surfaces are entirely different. Even though the US and Australian are hard courts yet the nature of surface is different. That makes the task more harder. As far as 2010 is concerned, I hope Federer will add few more grand slam crowns to his tally. But looking at the competition level, I am doubtful. Hope he surprises me once again.

Federer wants to end up as no. 1 in 2010!
Who doesn't?
There are 4 or 5 others who think they can become no. 1 in 2010. And all of them are younger and fitter than Federer. The target is a tough one, and it requires a tough Federer to meet it. Let us see how tough he is.

What bad loser. Any player will show his emotions on court when the expectations are that much high. By his emotional let up, Federer proved that he was human and also the fact showed as to how much he loved that sport. You do not know the level of his achievements and that is why you speak like this. But you count for nothing. Federer has already implanted his name in the tennis history books and will be called the Greatest the Sport has ever seen.

I want to finish 2010 as World No 1: Federer
by A Singh on Jan 05, 2010 01:53 PM

Very reasonable target.
Federer is also being reasonable when he accepts that his body is not the same as it used to be, and that he has to be selective in choosing the tournament to participate in, in order to prolong his career.
If he just manages to win the 4 slams and the London Masters, he can end up as no. 1.
Best of luck to him.

Roger - The Best
by bharat uchil on Jan 05, 2010 01:04 PM  | Hide replies

Roger Federer is arguably the greatest Tennis player ever but can he win the Australian Open this year....we'll find out by this monthend! Roger, of late, has developed "Atychiphobia" - the fear of failure!! Earlier, whenever he played, almost all his strokes would be perfect. But now due to this fear, he has more unforced errors than winners. Now, it's more like Roger versus Himself !! Get over this Roger... We all know that ur the best....there is nothing to fear !!!
