Politicians beauracats should leave sports bodies immediately. For them we have made no progress. Look at our Olympic perfomance participating from 1928. Our hockey is in shambles. We have few individual flukes who has through own effort have given glory to the country.Just look at China and see their achievment having gained independence after us.It will take 200 years for us to qualify for World Cup football. A country with 2nd highest population in the world with no standing in world sport. Politicians should be banned from sports. Their vested interest is detrimental for our success. What interest has Sharad Pawar in cricket other than publicity which politics is not going to give him. MrPraful Patel president AFFI will finish football in this country like his predecessor. Suresh Kalmadi will rout athletic. The only sensible person is our Sports Minister who in his limited capacity is trying to do something for sports. Goverment has to take initiative in promoting sports in this country other wise we will have to wait another 50 years to win another Olympic gold medal. Sports is profession and nota extra- curricular activity.
